Every year, each employee collaborates with their direct manager to create a Personal Development Plan (PDP). The PDP is a strategic tool designed to set the course for the growth and development within Boyum IT. It’s like a car’s GPS—it can only guide you to the best route if it knows where you are. The first step of any PDP is to establish the current position, allowing to chart a clear and effective path to individual goals.
The PDP process is more than a formality; it’s a personalized approach to understanding the “whys” and “how’s” of the journey within our company. By setting goals, we ensure that every employee is equipped with an understanding of their development path, aligning their personal aspirations with our organizational goals.
To support our commitment to professional growth, we have implemented two key initiatives: our Career Framework and Leadership Pipeline.
The Career Framework serves as a comprehensive roadmap for the professional journey within our company. It provides a clear understanding of the various pathways for growth and advancement, helping everyone to identify opportunities that align with the career aspirations.
In addition to the Career Framework, we collaborated with an external agency to develop our Leadership Pipeline. This initiative is designed to identify, develop, and promote leaders at all levels of Boyum IT. It sets common standards for performance and potential, tailored to each management layer, ensuring a consistent and structured approach to leadership development.
The goal of a leadership pipeline is to ensure that Boyum IT has a steady stream of leaders with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to meet the challenges of the future.
