Software Maintenance Renewal FAQ

Every year, customers who wish to experience the innovations of our solutions must renew their annual maintenance. As a partner, you have until January 31st before 12 pm CET to place maintenance renewal orders for your customers in the Boyum Portal.

Late renewals include a Reinstatement Fee, which is progressive and based on the maintenance amount, as follows:

Starting DateReinstatement Fee
February 1th CET20%
March 1th CET50%
April 1th CET100%

When activating maintenances in our portal you can select:

  • one single invoice with all your customers‘ maintenances OR
  • different invoices, per customer or group of customers.

Please remember that renewing all your customers in one invoice will require you to pay the full amount for all of their maintenances. For example: if you activate 10 maintenances in 1 invoice and one of those customers didn’t pay, you still have to pay the full amount for the 10; not doing it would affect the other 9 customers. We run an automated process that links paid invoices to licenses and maintenances in the portal; therefore, unfortunately, partial payments are not considered. We recommend you to consider selecting different invoices (one for each customer) if you haven’t collected all payments yet.

As of April 1, non-renewed maintenance will be canceled, without exceptions. Installations out of maintenance DO NOT HAVE the following benefits:

  • Free support
  • Upgrade products to new releases (which contain new features and bug fixes)
  • Purchase of additional users

Do not leave it for later! Posterior maintenance reactivation includes all maintenance pending since the last renewal, plus the corresponding Reinstatement Fee.

Keep maintenance up to date and maximize benefits for your business and your customers!
